Another Eric Cantu Remodeling Project - Lakewood Heights Custom Master Bath

Transforming a Classic Primary Bath: Another Lakewood Heights Bathroom Remodel

We maximized the layout by moving the toilet to the old shower footprint and swapping the tub for an expansive, low-curb walk-in shower. Upgraded storage with custom light grey shaker cabinets, dual linen towers, premium white quartz counters, and seamless porcelain tile. (See BEFORE video below)

The Vision: Bright, Open, and Custom

The goal was simple yet ambitious: maximize the footprint, introduce natural light, and incorporate custom features like shaker cabinetry, and polished white quartz countertops to establish a clean, open feel to this bathroom remodel in the Lakewood Heights neighborhood of North Dallas.

The completed primary bathroom transitions between designated functional zones, adds more storage and a large frameless shower wet area, instead of a large unused bathtub.

The Custom Frameless Shower Enclosure: The focal point of the remodel is the low curb walk-in shower. Encased in frameless glass sitting on a white-trimmed half wall, it features a built-in bench capped with smooth quartz and a recessed storage niche. A high-set horizontal transom window pours natural light into the shower stall, illuminating the vertically stacked accent tile, a large overhead rain shower head, a traditional wall fixture, and a flexible handheld wand.

Dual Storage Cabinets and Makeup Vanity: Storage and utility were significantly upgraded with custom shaker-style cabinetry, including two tall linen towers for vertical organization. The vanities are paired with marble-veined quartz countertops and undermount sinks. For added function, we installed a dedicated makeup vanity flanked by a unique, scalloped silver wall mirror and contemporary multi-light sconces.

Swap Toilet and Shower: Re-engineered this North Dallas layout by moving the toilet to the old shower footprint and adding the makeup vanity where the toilet closet used to be.

Cohesive Flooring and Finishes: Durable porcelain tile flooring from wall to wall across the entire room, tying the vanities and shower zones together into a unified design.
